Tushar Dhayagude – CEO
Tushar Dhayagude started GV Semiconductor in June 2017. Prior to starting GV Semiconductor, Tushar managed partnerships, marketing and technology for Atmel’s (acquired by Microchip) digital power, LED lighting and backlighting and related IOT IC products and solutions as a Director of Marketing. Tushar co-founded mSilica in 2006 and served as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing and interim CEO until its acquisition by Atmel in late 2010. Tushar holds several patents and has presented at several LED and Display conferences around the world. Tushar also served as an advisor to Northwestern’s entrepreneurship program and a board member of Efficient Solar in the past. Prior to mSilica, Tushar worked at National Semiconductor and Maxim Integrated Products. Tushar holds a MSEE from the University of Arkansas and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Additionally, Tushar enjoys family, sports, writing, and volunteering as a college counselor for underprivileged children.
Haachitaba Mweene, PhD. – CTO
Loveday Haachitaba Mweene, PhD., was a founding member of GV Semiconductor in 2017. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2016, Haachitaba was a Senior Scientist at Atmel Corp, leading the development of Atmel's next-generation microprocessor (MCU) based ac-dc and dc-dc power supplies and LED drivers. During the three years before joining Atmel, Haachitaba was a power supply consultant, defining and designing power management ICs for solar power and developing application circuits for LED lighting. From 2003 to 2010, he was with National Semiconductor Corp where he rose to the rank of Member of Technical Staff and became the manager of the company's Power Applications Design Center (PADC). Prior to that, he was a senior research and design engineer at Synqor Corp, a company manufacturing dc-dc converters for telecommunications applications. Haachitaba worked for AT&T Bell Laboratories (later Lucent technologies) from 1992 to 2000. Haachitaba received the Doctor and Master of Science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the University of Zambia. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, playing soccer and playing the classical guitar.
Ardeshir Sidhwa, PhD. – VP of Manufacturing & Process Technology
Ardeshir (Ardy) J. Sidhwa, PhD joined GV Semiconductor in May 2017 as the Vice President of Manufacturing and Process Technology at GV Semiconductor Inc. Prior to joining GV Semiconductor, Dr. Sidhwa worked as a Senior Director of Innovation and Technology (R&D) at Quantum Global Technologies (QGT). Prior to QGT, Dr. Sidhwa worked as a Senior Staff/ Fellow at ATMEL Semiconductor responsible for Process Integration and Manufacturing Operations for state of the art Microcontrollers and Memory products. Dr. Sidhwa was also Chief Operating Officer and Senior Executive Board Director at Armor Designs, Inc. Prior to Armor, Dr. Sidhwa worked as a Corporate Process Technology and Quality Director at STMicroelectronics, Inc. He is proficient in technology development for strategic alliances and multiple joint ventures. Dr. Sidhwa has 7 U.S. patents issued and 2 pending applications in multidisciplinary fields, along with over 100 publications.
Andrew Wu – Sr. Director of Sales and Marketing
Andrew Wu started GV Semiconductor in September of 2017. Prior to starting GV Semiconductor, Andrew managed the marketing and strategy for NXP’s wireless charging receiver group as an International Product Marketing Manager. He holds several patents in the DC/DC space and has presented at many industry conferences. Prior to NXP, Andrew worked at Adaptive Digital Power, Monolithic Power (MPS), Fairchild, ST Microelectronic and National Semiconductor. Andrew holds a BSEE and MSEE from the University of Arizona.
Lance Chou - Director of Asia Operations
Lance joined GV Semiconductor in 2017 and serves as Director of Asia Operations. Based in Taiwan, Lance is responsible for the sales and operations of GV Semiconductor in Asia. Before joining GV Semiconductor, Lance was Vice President of Kaistar Lighting in China and he held various technical and management positions at a number of semiconductor and LED industry players, such as Philips Semiconductors (NXP) and Macronix, LED manufacturers Lumileds Lighting and Epistar. Lance received his MSEE degree from University of Southern California and bachelor's degree in Control Engineering from National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan.
